Job Summary
- Clinix Healthcare is seeking an experienced, leadership-oriented, and quality-driven Laboratory Manager to oversee all laboratory operations at our Awka branch.
- The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and day-to-day management of the laboratory department.
- Supervise laboratory scientists, technicians, and support staff.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and reliable performance of all laboratory tests.
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality control and quality assurance systems.
- Oversee equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory management.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, infection control, and biohazard waste management.
- Liaise with clinicians and management on laboratory results and service improvement.
- Prepare monthly laboratory reports, budgets, and performance metrics.
- Conduct staff training, performance appraisals, and continuous professional development.
- Manage external quality assurance programs and regulatory compliance.
Requirements & Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality management systems, and ISO standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) degree from a recognized institution.
- Valid practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- 5–7 years post-NYSC experience in a medical laboratory, with at least 3 years in a managerial/supervisory role.
- Postgraduate qualification in Laboratory Management or Quality Assurance is an added advantage.
- National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate (completed).
