By focusing on high-demand technical areas, the programme aims to close existing skill gaps and prepare participants for meaningful roles in exploration, production, marine operations, and energy-tech advancements.
TOP 10 SKILLS
The training covers ten priority skill areas, carefully selected to align with global industry needs. These include; Sub-Sea Engineering, Underwater Welding Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Drilling Engineering, Helicopter Piloting, Marine Operations, Production and Maintenance Engineering, QA/QC Engineering (NDT Levels I–III), Geoscience Engineering, and Digitization & Digitalization, which encompasses modern technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and drone applications.
ELIGIBILITY AND REQUIREMENTS
To ensure that the programme benefits committed and capable learners, NCDMB has outlined clear eligibility requirements. Applicants must be 35 years of age or younger at the time of application. In addition, candidates should possess a minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in relevant disciplines such as Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, Gas, Welding, or Metallurgical Engineering. These core fields provide the technical groundwork needed for advanced oil and gas training.
QUALIFICATIONS
The programme also welcomes applicants from related academic backgrounds, including Geology, Geophysics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and other science-based disciplines that support subsurface studies, digital technologies, and analytical operations within the industry.
